ZIM History

In 1957 a group of intelligent Managers gathered informally to discuss pertinent issues then that were affecting them in their profession. Amongst many outstanding thoughts and suggestions from a handful of the managers was the need to formulate a professional organization to champion their cause. A resolution was passed at that meeting and a membership-based organisation was born which was later named Zimbabwe Institute of Management in 1980.

Over the years this organization curved itself into an autonomous, non-profit making Leadership and Management Development training Institute. Its objective has been to promote and develop best practice in Leadership and Management.

The Institute‚Äôs membership compromises of individual, corporate and student members. Now the range of products include executive diploma programs in Business Leadership, General Management, Applied Strategy, Sports Management as well as diplomas in Business Administration, Project Management, Environmental Health and Safety Management, Supervisory Management and Security  Management.
