Zimbabwe Institute of Management

The Zimbabwe Institute of  Management ( ZIM ) is an autonomous, non-profit making, membership based organisation founded in 1957.  It has its Head

Office located at 34 Fereday Drive, Eastlea, Harare, and its Regional Office is located at 29A George Silundika Street, Between 1st & 2nd Avenues , Bulawayo. As a way of reaching out to the nation as a whole, the Institute  also runs its programmes in Victoria Falls, Hwange, Beitbridge, Gweru, Mutare, and Masvingo.

METHODS OF TRAINING

Full use is made of active learning methods. Size of groups are limited to allow maximum individual participation in practical exercises, case studies, group discussions and role plays. Delegates receive a comprehensive module for reference purposes.

COURSE FACILITATORS

Highly skilled and experienced professional consultants with several years of industry based hands-on management experience.

LEARNING APPROACH

Although necessarily intensive, all our programmes are highly participative thus emphasis is placed on active-learning and trainee participation. Participants’ competencies are developed through lectures, practical exercises, case studies, group discussions, role plays and videos.

CERTIFICATION

On completion of training, participants receive Certificates of competence for professional programmes ( that is, Certificates , Diplomas & Executive Diplomas) and Certificates of attendance for all our short courses..

CORE TRAINING PROGRAMMES

The Institute offers a wide range of  supervisory, management and leadership development courses that have been developed and tested over a long period of time.  These open courses are conducted throughout the year nationwide.  The courses attract delegates from both  public and private sectors, thereby

providing them with the opportunity for cross pollination of ideas, views and information as well as sharing of challenges  and solutions  with colleagues from different backgrounds.
